AI translation

Chat translation is off by default. Only after your explicit consent does the app send the text of messages from other players to OpenAI, solely for translation. The original is always available, and you can withdraw consent by turning translation off. Translations may contain errors.

E-mail

Account emails are sent through Resend. This provider processes your email address and message content to deliver verification and recovery codes.

Data and purposes

Email and password protect your account. Your profile, stays, games, messages and scores provide club features. These operations are necessary to perform our agreement. Necessary service security data is processed for our legitimate security interests.

Online status

Signed-in members see a green dot on your profile if you used the app in the last 10 minutes. We store only the time of your last activity; guests without an account do not see it.

App Store purchases

Payments for Privé and VIP are handled by Apple; we do not receive card details or billing address. From Apple’s signed transaction information we store: transaction identifier, product, purchase and expiry dates and any refund. We use it only to grant and maintain the membership (performance of contract) and keep it while the account exists; it is erased when the account is deleted.

Visibility and optional permissions

Your profile is visible to signed-in players within club features. A public preview requires a separate choice in Profile and can be disabled. Location is optional: after you press the button, your phone selects the nearest supported town. Coordinates are not sent to the server or stored in your profile. We do not track background location. You choose your own photo.

Recipients and security

Service infrastructure providers process data necessary to operate the app. Organisers see applications to their games; accepted participants access the group chat. Passwords are hashed and connections use HTTPS. We do not sell data or use advertising tracking. The service runs on a server in Germany (Hetzner, EU).

Deletion and retention

Data is kept while you use your account. Deletion removes your profile, photo, stays, reviews, scores and reports, and erases your message text and organiser notes. A technical pseudonymous participation record remains to preserve other players’ history. Uninstalling does not delete your account. Backups may contain previous data for a limited time; if a backup is ever restored, previously deleted accounts are deleted again.

Your rights

You can edit your profile, withdraw public sharing and delete your account in the app or at /fairway/delete-account. You may request access, a copy, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and object where applicable. Contact the controller for data requests. You can complain to a data protection authority, such as AEPD in Spain.
